The Disability Employment Service (DES) is a specialist program designed to help people with disability to find and maintain suitable work.

Community AXIS provides a range of services for people with disability through the Disability Employment Service. We will work with you to help you find a job.

Our Consultants are employment focused. We aim to help you find the right job that suits your skills and abilities. We will assist you to find a suitable job and provide you with ongoing support.

Our Specialist Employment Services include:

• Regular one-on-one contact with an experienced Employment Consultant to assist with career options, goal setting and employment assistance
  
• Creation of your personal resume
  
• Interview technique training
• Access to job search activities, computer, Internet, photocopier, fax, telephone service and employment section of local newspapers
  
• Assistance in developing and learning new work skills
  
• Work Experience opportunities
  
• Specialist Marketing Coordinator to assist with job search and direct canvassing of Employers
  
• Financial assistance for items such as training, work related licences and ticketing, interview/work clothing
  
• Offer of Wage Subsidy and Supported Wage Assistance for Employers to provide you with employment;
• Post Placement Support
